There are a number of factors that can raise the cholesterol level in individuals. Cholesterol is produced naturally by the body’s liver. There are two types of cholesterol found in the bloodstream. The first type of cholesterol is LDL cholesterol. This is the bad cholesterol which, in over abundance, can create clogging of the arteries. The good cholesterol is the HDL cholesterol and is metabolically important for the proper functioning of the body.
